Lauren E. Godfrey was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Inspired by the local, creative culture and her extended family of artists, she began painting and drawing at a young age. She followed this passion into her college years and graduated from the Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts majoring in Painting and Drawing. She, then, continued painting alongside working in contemporary art galleries internationally and receiving a Master’s in Art History from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen, Germany. She currently lives and works in Hamburg, Germany as a professional fine artist, where art in all its forms and representations continues to inspire her every day.
